Moya Matcha Traditional

Organic matcha with a balanced rich bittersweet taste, creamy texture and malachite green color. Its full flavour makes it ideal to drink on its own, but is also good in lattes and smoothies.

Moya matcha is produced from the 1st and 2nd crops from tea plantations that are carefully shaded from direct sunlight in the last few weeks before harvest. This process results in higher chlorophyll and L-theanine content and a richer, greener color. The fresh leaves are then collected, dried and ground into powder.

Moya Matcha Traditional is grown in the Uji region of Kyoto, known for its top-quality green tea cultivation for over 800 years. The Uji region is known for its healthy soils and clean water. The green tea plantations there have ideal conditions for growth thanks to hills that provide good sunlight, and frequent fog that protects sensitive leaves from frost and rain showers. Moya Matcha is carefully grown and harvested on small family-owned organic tea plantations. It is processed locally in Japan, hand picked and stone ground in order to maintain the leaf's qualities and  high levels of minerals and antioxidants.
